First threatening phone call I had received was on my office line 973 416 1600 right after I posted the news of Chanchal in May 2013; from Sat Paul Kapoor. He was very rude and kept on talking like a muscleman that I don’t know him; he can make my life hell and he will file a Law suit for defaming the trustees.
After my Blog on Hindu Temples I started getting abusive e-mails with irrelevant demands from Vick Verma a CPA by profession and he is going to inherit Trusteeship of Durga Mandir as per the plan to be implemented very soon for the children of Trustees.

We all need to properly analyze the balance sheets, annual collections, building and land values.
Sunday 7:08 PM June 23, 2013: When did the bridge water Sikh temple begin these activities, I went as a child and it was a small house with none of what you mentioned, perhaps they saved money over decades, expanded the infrastructure and recently started these classes for Sikh children to attend but when I was a child, none of these activities were offered.
And yes, you will show us balance sheets and timelines of growth, commencement of classes and how other religions operate, since you want the same things. You emailed me first so either you're wasting everyone's time or you can't produce the balance sheets of all other places of worship, we need clarity and we need to compare apples to apples. Your children sing Hindu songs in homes, you gather a collection of money, under what not for profit are you and your children registered as, what classes do you offer, daycare, soup kitchens, we would all like to know. Where is your 990 from singing Bajans in homes? If you can't produce balance sheets, then stop wasting everyone's time, since your already collecting donations for singing, let us know what classes you offer, I can send my children to your not for profit to learn how to play the flute.
Sunday 7:08 PM June 23, 2013: Now I'm really confused, you're daughter gets paid to sing Bajans and she volunteers at another nj Hindhu temple, I think we are all very confused, you are Hindu but attended a Sikh temple in bridge water and you volunteer at another nj temple and get paid to sing in homes as professionals or volunteers, you would not file a 990 if you're not registered as a not for profit but it sounds like income unless its a donation. Im thinking you are very confused and now we are all confused. Perhaps, you should focus on CFO ing your check cashing business of which you target both high school dropouts and Drs, I find it strange a physician would cash a check in a check cashing store in Irvington but I'm also not a self annointed CFO of my very own check cashing biz registered with banking committee (that should be required) I think we knew that already.

Dear Mr. Verma, our business is licensed by NJ Banking & Insurance and our Balance Sheet are public any one can get them. Still you are most welcome to visit our facility M-Sat 10 AM to 5 PM. to see them. We are in business since 1997 with no complaints against it. We pay all the required taxes in Full and on time.
Durga Temple is just an example; I am targeting every one that is providing Ceremonial Services only. I need public support to force others to change their style of functioning especially in NJ doing the same what Durga Mandir is doing. We must have prog. for youth, term limits for Trustees/Executive Committee members, accountability, transparency and full Financial Disclosures in every Hindu Temple.
Mr. Verma, you are a waste of time. Here we are discussing Hindu Temples of USA especially NJ. Let there be a public debate on the Role of NJ Hindu temples and find a consensus how to reform them. To start with Durga Temple is good choice being the one of the largest. Let's reform this and make it an ideal place of worship and knowledge for others to emulate it.

If you are really honest let's have a discussion on TV, Radio or in a Press conference on the issues raised by me and in case of press conference I will pay for every thing like venue and refreshments. Please bring all the 21 Trustees of Durga Mandir also.
For your kind info Bridgewater Gurudwara that is also in New Jersey is running "Khalsa School" for the last 30 years in that they provide study on Sikh religion, classes for Shabad Kirtan, training for traditional musical instruments like Tabla, Harmonium, Dilruba, Taus, Rabab, Sarandha, flute & surmandal as well as discussion on religion for adults. For last 2 years they are also conducting SAT classes for High School students. WHAT IS THE ACHIEVEMENT OF DURGA MANDIR AS FAR AS THESE THINGS ARE CONCERNED?
It looks like you are in line for Trusteeship of Durga Mandir that is the reason you are misleading by raising non sense questions. You seems to be well versed in Accounting do you think my children are supposed to file 990 even if they do not have a non profit charitable organization? You are stooping so low that you are not appreciating these kids for the time, energy, hard work and resources they have put in to learn how to sing in the glory of all mighty God as per Hindu and Sikh customs; you want to know how much they have been paid in appreciation of their love for Hindu traditions by individuals.
You should be ashamed of yourself and since you have involved my children for no reason; CAN I ASK YOU HOW MUCH HINDU VALUES YOU HAVE GIVEN TO YOUR OWN CHILDREN? Parade all the young & adult children of all the 21 Trustees of Durga Mandir and give their introduction how many of them even know HINDI and how many times in a year they come to the Mandir. Monday June 24 afternoon on my office phone Sat Paul Kapoor: Very rude and told me that “last time I warned you not to write any thing about Durga Mandir why you have written again? You don’t understand the consequences can be bad for you. My reply was if you read carefully I am talking about practically all the Temples and using Durga Mandir just as an example. Then he said can you come to the Temple for a meeting we will discuss in detail your objections. Let me call you back we can have a 3 way call with my colleague Jatinder Sabharwal. Again SPK called and Mr. Sabharwal introduced himself; he was very polite and well mannered all the time but SPK kept on interuppting with threatening language. At one point SPK said “We give Food to people” I shot back like you are giving food to the baggers or criminals. Being a Hindu you do not understand that “Guest is like a God” must be served with respect and decorum. Finally I told them I can not meet on Sunday because it is my daughter’s graduation party in the afternoon on Sunday and I will give them a call.
Monday June 24, I left a message for SPK at 7:56PM and he responded back at 9:50PM. I told him since we are going to meet lets discuss few things for that he may need the consent of other trustees. I told him they must retire 7 Trustees and they can become a Advisory Committee. There will be advertisement for the Trustees with Term Limit in the age gp of 28-55 and the Advisory Committee will screen them. The loans Trustees have created on the DM must be retired or they can donate it to DM. He was very angry and started using rough language and I told him he can call me tomorrow after discussing things with his other Trustee friends.
Tuesday 10:02AM June 25, 2013 SPK called and told me very rudely no one is going to agree to what you have suggested. Who the hell you are to suggest us to retire or take our loaned money back or give to Durga Mandir as donation. I have come to know that you are charging $250 through your daughter for Mata ki chownki and she has done more than 250 events and I have all the proof; first you tell us what you have done with that money. I told him by raising the issue of my school going daughter he is telling me what kind of upbringing and where he had it. First of all we are not running any charitable organization and it is none of his business to involve my daughter. Before he calls me again he has to bring all those 250 people claiming to have paid my daughter if he fails in this I will come to a conclusion he has been brought up in a brothel. Sat Pal Kapoor told me that I am messing up with him and the results will be frightening for me and my family. Then I put down the phone.

Because of your attitude you failed in promoting your kids to sing bhajans at the temples and hindu places of worship. MY REPLY: Mr. Sharma, Stop this crap my children are not invited to perform in Hindu Temples because of my attitude. For your information those Temples that believe in supporting youth and those individuals who respect traditional instruments & non-bollywood bhajans, they invite them with respect and love. Last year when Dada J P Vaswani came to NJ they were the only performers for entire 1 hour. More over they are still students they do not have time to perform every week rather every month because they have to study also and are still learning and taking Hindustani classical as well as Kirtan classes every week. On 6-24-13 one of the trustee Sat Paul Kapoor who behaves like a Mafia Boss made a statement that we give food to the people. My answer was in Durga Mandir the food is served like one is serving to baggers or criminals; if you understand Hinduism “A Guest is like a God” and food should be served with respect and decorum.
On 6-25-13 Sat Paul Kapoor made another statement that we the Trustees are the owners of Durga Mandir, who the hell are you to suggest us that we must have 7 new young trustees by retiring 7 non performing Trustees. Or retire Trustee’s Loans or give it as Donation to the Mandir. On one hand he says he is Maa Durga’s devotee on the other hand he was using all the bad/abusive words and making Terrorist Threats like he has been raised at a brothel. Fact is only 6 Trustees are active rest 15 are no show may be they are getting their cut of the loot at home. That is the reason no Trustee wants to retire and claiming ownership on Public Property created with Public Money.
I have few questions for you; Why Durga Mandir wants to collect money when they are not running a single programe for youth and Hindu studies. On top of that when it has over $4 million in its Bank account; why they need more money? What project they have in their mind to start immediately that needs $4-5mil? All the trustees are visionless when all these years they have not come up with projects for youth or Hindu studies or a Hindu School; what scam they are planning? They have proved they are dishonest otherwise they would not have kept so called Loan to the Temple rather in my opinion bogus book entries. What is the problem in practicing Term limits for Trustees/Executives and full financial disclosures? The problem is all are dishonest and cowards who can not stand up for the rights of 8 yrs old that was punished for drawing Swastika. There are more incidents where these cowards have failed the community that you can check on my blog.
If a Gurudwara in NJ can offer number of programs for youth & religious study for the last 30years; what was stopping DM Trustees to offer the same for all these years? Dave Makkar

Mr. Dinesh Nain Trustee & President on July 02, 2013 very arrogantly said that we are not going to add any services or school for the youth. We all are busy and we have no time for this. If you want open up your own Temple and School!
His reasoning was that it is not in our Constitution. (ASK MR. NAIN CAN HE PRODUCE THE CONSTITUTION?) I told him the outsiders have not made this constitution; we made it we can change it. He added don’t tell us what to do we all are very busy it is your vision to have a School. I said it is not my vision it is the need of the hour to save Hinduism. More over it is being practiced in UK & Canada and if we don’t teach Hinduism at young age this religion will die. Mr. Nain said form your own association to have a school run by Temple leave us alone.
Dr. Bikki Jaggi July 03, 2013 at 2:49 PM in a e-mail addressed to me with copy to 28 others: “I will have to take legal action against you for character defamation.” Rather than answering the issues raised by me on the working of Durga Mandir Dr. Jaggi wants to sue me let the public be the judge of his honesty and character.On July 04, 2013 12:37 PM Dr. Jaggi on behalf of all the Trustees have refused in violation of Law to Display Financials of the Durga Mandir on its Notice Board and for a Public Meeting to discuss the Future Scope of Services by the Mandir. He has also written that Temple does not owe him any loan or interest or any thing that is contrary to Form 990. In other words he may be giving an indication that all Trustee Loans are mere book entries!
My Reply: (partial only) DR. JAGGI: I CHALLENGE YOU/ALL THE TRUSTEES TO PRODUCE THE 230 VOTING MEMBERS. (150 Governing Body & 150 Independent): “Since you do agree that the temple's activities should be expanded and the facilities could also be used as a community center; let’s have a Public Meeting with proper advertisement in Media to take the input of devotees who are the financial back bone of the Durga Mandir. To prove that the current Management is serious in serving the Community the Financials of the Mandir must be displayed in the Mandir; one at the entrance and other at the back wall of the main durbar Hall. The issue of Loan entries to Durga Mandir must be resolved before that meeting. The Public Meeting agenda can also include Term Limits for Trustees and Executive Committee members to stop the abse of public funds. Improper or no use of public funds on the public is also unethical and dishonest. With no offense or disrespect to you or any one; the Hindu dictum says service to the humanity/community is service to God. Being a Hindu do you and your fellow Trustees of Durga Mandir think to serve the community one has to be a Trustee of a Temple/Mandir? Please answer with honesty and good character that all of you claim to possess. If the Trustees has little bit of more Honesty to start with announce the project for a Hindu Primary School and later on making it a High School.
In your mail dated 7-4-13 you have written that “ You are completely mistaken, temple does not owe me any loan or interest or anything. Instead I owe everything to Bhagwati Mata for her Blessings”. (if one looks at the Form 990 from 2005 to 2011 it is showing Durga Mandir has taken a Loan of $10,000.00 from you) Now please explain what is correct as I have written in my blogs the Loans by Trustees are may be just book entries! Your statement “temple does not owe me any loan or interest or anything” proves me right that the loans are mere book entries!

Dear Trustees & Executives of Durga Mandir, please provide the following at your earliest and oblige:
1. Membership Form of Durga Mandir.
2. List of 150 Governing Body Voting Members of Durga Mandir as mentioned in Form 990.
3. List of 150 Independent Voting Members of Durga Mandir as mentioned in Form 990.
4. Crossed Checks or Photo copies of the checks received as Membership Dues for 2011 for $11,500.00 as per Form 990 filed with IRS.
5. Names of the other Lenders that has given $3,494.00 as Loan to Durga Mandir as per Form 990 filed with IRS in 2011.
6. Copy of the Charter of Durga Mandir.
7. Copy of the Constitution of Durga Mandir.
8. Explain the reason why Trustee Dr. Bikki Jaggi has refused to display the Financials of Durga Mandir as per my request at 2 prominent places in the Mandir.
Don’t you and your fellow Trustees believe that improper or no use of public funds on the public is also unethical and dishonesty? In the present case money collected for promotion of Hindu religion, tradition and customs by providing education to youth has not been spent by Durga Mandir under visionless dishonest Trustees that feel they are the owners. No one is willing to retire to bring new vision and better management rather scamming to pass on their immoral ownership to make their children; idiots like Vick Verma with no vision for Hinduism as Trustees.
I hope you will comply with above request and I don’t have to explain you that violation of this request; you may attract scrutiny/prosecution under perjury by various US authorities.
